Abstract
Purpose
The overall purpose of this research paper largely depends on developing an easy method to synthesis a material suitable for supercapacitor application. This paper includes the synthesis of, α-Co(OH)2, its structural, elemental and morphological properties and its supercapacitor properties.
Design/methodology/approach
Firstly, the electrolyte is prepared using binder free method, then electrodeposition is used to synthesize α-Co(OH)2 at 2 V. X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) are used to study the structural, elemental and morphological characteristics. The supercapacitor properties are investigated by using cyclic voltammetry, charging-discharging graph, stability test and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
Findings
Synthesis of α-Co(OH)2 is a tedious job as the temperature and use of weak base plays an important role. However, throughout electrodeposition, temperature is maintained using a water bath and weak base as the precursor. The presence of nitrate anions shows more interlayer space than that of ß-Co(OH)2 because of which free diffusion of the electrolyte is possible. Sheets structures are more visible in SEM images. Nanosheet like structure is observed in the film and such kind of structure provide higher surface area and higher specific capacitance. Usually, the surface morphology of cobalt hydroxide shows flower-like, spherical and nanocubes particles. The cross-section of the deposited film and it is found to be approximately 100 µm. In the forward and backward scan, oxidation and reduction peaks are clearly visible. However, such a behavior is reported as stable because of no further peaks of oxidation.
Originality/value
XRD and EDS confirms the growth of α-Co(OH)2. SEM images shows the porous nature of the film. Specific capacitance and energy density has been estimated at 5 mV s−1 is 780 F g−1 and 82 W h kg−1, respectively. The film was stable for 600 cycles showing 75 per cent capacitance retention. The voltage drop is 0.02 V for 0.5 A cm−2, indicating low resistance and good conductivity of the film. The specific power is estimated to be 15 W kg−1 for 1 A cm−2. The value of RESR, RCT, CDL and W is 4.83 Ohm, 1.273 Ohm, 0.00233 C and 0.717, respectively. Thus indicating α-Co(OH)2 to be better candidate for supercapacitor applications.

Purpose: This study is the complex interplay among corporate social responsibility (CSR), governance, and ethics in the context of tourism management in India. It shows us how businesses engage in sustainable practices that contribute to social economics tourism.
Methodology: This research takes a multi-face approach, theoretical framework, and practice case study to indicate the relationship based on the CSR corporate governance, and business ethics. The study shows that the real case study in Jaipur and Indore.
Research limitations and implications: Given the limitations of the case study research, such as potential basis and limited generalization, this study is necessary for future empirical investigation to validate and expand upon the findings presented here.
Social implications: The chapter discusses the societal significance of business practices. It promotes greater corporate engagement in addressing social, environmental, and economic challenges by showing the positive impact of CSR initiatives on local communities.
Findings: Through case studies and empirical analysis, this chapter reveals how CSR initiatives can improve corporate governance, promote ethical business practices, and positively impact the local economy and environment. It also shows how important evidence-based decision-making matters.
Originality/value: In India's tourism management context, this chapter comprehensively examines corporate governance, business ethics, and CSR. Its usefulness provides practical insights into the practical ramifications of responsible business practices.

Abstract
Purpose: The integration of corporate social responsibility (CSR) with the worldwide push toward a net-zero carbon economy is becoming more and more apparent, as both place a high priority on sustainability and environmental stewardship. This book chapter examines the elements and main influences that drive the shift to a net-zero economy, with a particular focus on the relationship between net-zero, CSR, and the creation of sustainable value.
Methodology: This research employs a secondary data analysis methodology of systematic review of scholarly research articles, reports, and online resources. Sources such as SAGE and EBSCO are scrutinized, alongside focused inquiries for qualitative data in academic databases like Emerald and Scopus.
Findings: The findings reveal that a variety of factors, including climate change awareness, governmental policy and regulation, corporate sustainability initiatives, technological advancements, investor pressure, economic possibilities, and environmental and social movements, all contribute to the shift to a net-zero economy in an interconnected way.

Purpose: This chapter aims to review and brief the role of Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (SCSR) in the tourism industry, targeting its impact on the performance and sustainability of the tourism industry. This chapter seeks to provide insights into how SCSR can lead to a positive transformation and competitive advantage.
Methodology: The chapter incorporates a brief literature review to examine current trends, hurdles, and benchmarking in the implementation of SCSR in the tourism industry. Comparative analysis and recent literature are used to extract valuable results and implications for effective tourism management.
Research limitations: The current chapter has limited potential biases in the selection of literature and the evolving nature of CSR in the tourism sector. Future research is required to check the developments in tourism and CSR.

Abstract
Purpose: This chapter aims to investigate how hotel performance is affected by corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Design/methodology/approach: This study used a mixed approach utilizing both primary and secondary sources. Secondary research involved gathering pertinent data from various sources such as websites, books, and publications. Additionally, a structured questionnaire was administered to the guests of deluxe category hotels to gauge their perceptions regarding the influence of CSR practices on hotel performance.
Findings: It is found that implementing the CSR practices contributes to fostering guests’ loyalty and willingness, thereby indirectly enhancing hotel performance positively.
Research limitations/implications: The research sample was limited to New Delhi due to the abundance of five-star hotels in the area. While a larger sample size would have provided more relevant results, the selection process was not pre-determined for each hotel. Surveys were conducted based on the willingness of guests to participate, resulting in data collection from hotels visited randomly.
Originality/value: This chapter aims to enlighten hotels about the advantages of integrating CSR practices into their long-term policies.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to determine factors that contribute to consumers’ intention to opt for interest-free home financing or mortgage adapting decomposition approach of the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) model.
Design/methodology/approach
For this study, judgemental and purposive sampling was used and over 300 respondents who are using or willing to use equity-based Islamic mortgages were selected for analysis.
Findings
According to the findings of this study, consumers’ intention towards the interest-free mortgage is influenced primarily by their attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioural control but also by the additional construct of their innovativeness of consumers as well as decomposed variables such as perceived relative advantage and perceived compatibility, but most importantly, peers. Overall, the study’s findings show that the suggested model clarifies a better knowledge of the factors that influence consumers’ choices to accept interest-free mortgage financing.
Research limitations/implications
Considering this research to be limited in terms of coverage geographically and the theory rendered the context should be given proper attention when interpreting future outcomes. Furthermore, future researchers can extend the direct relationship by using attitude as a mediator and also test adding a moderating variable when conducting a cross-sectional study.
Originality/value
This work is mainly focused on consumers’ intention to use Islamic mortgages. Current research incorporates and validates consumer innovativeness and introduces decomposed variables, namely, peers, perceived relative advantage and perceived compatibility to the TPB model. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, the decomposition of variables with the main predictors in the setting of an interest-free mortgage in Pakistan, the decomposition approach of the TPB model has not yet been attempted.

Abstract
The issue of trust in Industry 4.0 is extremely important from an organization’s perspective. The dynamic development of 4.0 technologies implies wide-ranging changes, which, in order to be implemented effectively, require cooperation based on trust. The purpose of this literature analysis is to identify key research areas regarding trust in Industry 4.0 and to identify further research directions.
Based on a comprehensive literature analysis, the most prominent areas of research on trust issues in Industry 4.0 will be presented (k=36). This chapter will also identify and discuss directions for further research.
The results of the analysis enable to illustrate the trends of science development in the area of Industry 4.0, as well as to identify key issues related to trust. Moreover, the research problems for further studies on the analyzed issue will also be indicated.
The research presented here identifies key Industry 4.0 technologies that are based on trust.
The review provides a valuable resource for practitioners regarding the critical aspects of implementing Industry 4.0 with respect to trust.
This is the first comprehensive literature review diagnosing research areas, technologies, and directions for future research on trust in Industry 4.0.

Abstract
This study analyzes the impact of exchange rate volatility (ERV) on inbound tourist arrivals from four ASEAN countries namely Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand during 1970–2017. Volatility in the exchange rates between the tourist currency and ringgit Malaysia is measured using the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity model. The results from Autoregressive Distributed Lagged models indicate that ERV has no significant impact on tourist arrivals from ASEAN to Malaysia. This implies that tourists from these countries may not be sensitive to ERV when choosing Malaysia as their travel destination. There are two possible explanations for the results. First, Malaysian ringgit has been depreciating against major currencies and regional currencies in recent years, which makes ringgit relatively cheaper than other ASEAN currencies. Second, the empirical results of the study support the argument that ERV has a more serious impact on tourist spending compared to tourist arrivals.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to apply the theory of interpersonal behaviour (TIB) and its determinants to determine conventional enterprises' intentions toward halal supply chains (HSCs) adoption in Malaysia.
Design/methodology/approach
A survey was conducted with a judgmental sampling and over 150 responses were gathered. Besides, the literature on the factors that influence an enterprise’s adoption of a halal supply chain, and TIB is evaluated to determine the influential determinants that lead to conventional entrepreneurs’ desire to participate in the halal supply chain in Malaysia.
Findings
The study findings suggest that the intention to use a halal supply chain is determined not only by social factors, affect, facilitating conditions and attitude, but also by the added construct of perceived expected benefits.
Research limitations/implications
Considering this research to be limited in terms of coverage geographically and the theory rendered the context should be given proper attention when interpreting future outcomes. Furthermore, future researchers can extend the direct relationship by employing habit construct when conducting a longitudinal study.
Practical implications
This paper serves as a guide to ensure the best planning of halal supply chains in both theory and practice.
Originality/value
This study expands on the use of TIB in the context of conventional enterprises’ intention toward halal supply chains in Malaysia.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to develop a new framework to measure waqif preference of waqf-based qardhul hassan financing in Malaysia.
Design/methodology/approach
Using a maqāṣid approach, this study’s data were drawn from 286 valid usable questionnaires to examine the effects of consumer, family, ummah and humanity factors on the preference.
Findings
The study found that the said factors sourced from Attia’s maqāṣid al-Shariah were instrumental in determining waqif preference to donate in waqf-based qardhul hassan financing.
Research limitations/implications
Like others, this study’s findings are limited in terms of their generalisations and applications. The theory, context and variables used should be expanded in future works.
Practical implications
The results obtained are useful as a yardstick to enable the offered waqf-based qardhul hassan financing for improved mutual well-being among different classes of the wealth of societal groups in Malaysia. Furthermore, the results provide valuable insights into the direction for practitioners mainly managers involved in introducing waqf-based qardhul hassan financing as a new Islamic social financial instrument for poor and needy folks, at best.
Originality/value
This study is novel in terms of the proposed conceptual framework, where the waqif perspective comes into play.
