Purpose – spotlights Zappos, the highest-ranking newcomer of Fortunes Best Companies to Work for (no 23). Design/methodology/approach – describes how Zappos is a retailer with a difference, puts forward how it is equally adored by its customers and employees. Profiles Zappos founder, Tony Hsieh; looks at how the company developed and lists Hsieh’s Ten Commandments that includes ”create fun and a little weirdness”; outlines how these core values drive all key decisions. Looks at the company’s employment policies and records how employees feel about working at Zappos; reports on how the decision to cut 124 Zappos employees was implemented.
