Abstract
Purpose
Given the multifaceted nature of research in green advertising (GA), it is critical to holistically review the extant literature to understand their contributions. This study aims to perform a hybrid literature review by combining citation analysis and a theory-context-method (TCM) framework to map the conceptual development of GA in the past three decades.
Design/methodology/approach
Using the SPAR-4-SLR technique, the current study identified the literature contributions of 133 articles published between 1993 and 2024 in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.
Findings
The study’s findings identified that certain theories, such as attribution theory and signalling theory have been used frequently in investigating the influence of GA on consumer behavior. The context analysis identified emerging themes like green trolling and green demarketing. This study also proposes substantial avenues with alternative theories for further advancement of GA research.
Research limitations/implications
By conducting a hybrid literature review, this study identifies the highly cited articles and sources and provides a comprehensive synthesis of GA research.
Practical implications
Analysis of 133 articles from eight subject areas identified various themes in GA, aiding future researchers in identifying potential research opportunities and for marketers to develop appropriate strategies for their GA campaigns.
Originality/value
This study is the initial attempt to perform a hybrid literature review on GA using citation analysis and TCM framework.

Abstract
The aim of the present study is to perform bibliometric analysis on available literature on the subject of cultural diversity in the tourism sector. The Scopus database is used to retrieve the research article data and 133 articles were fetched over a period of 33 years (1988–2021). The further analysis is performed using and Biblioshiny tool package of R programming language and VOSviewer. The findings for study not only reveal the trends of publications but also produced the information on most influential authors, journals, and universities which are actively contributing to the subject of cultural diversity in tourism. Various network graphs are also generated using software to draw meaningful conclusions. The present study will not only aid future investigators in understanding the past developments on the subject of cultural diversity in tourism but also help industry professionals in formulating better strategies and tactics keeping in mind the cultural dimension of tourism. The present study is a maiden attempt to perform the bibliometric analysis on the subject of cultural diversity in tourism.

Abstract
Purpose
Intense competition in every sector has put administrators under tremendous pressure to develop strategies for survival, and the educational sector is no exception. This paper aims to explore the dynamics between the factors that affect the quality of engineering institutes by developing an interpretive model.
Design/methodology/approach
The factors that affect the quality of engineering institutes are identified through a thorough review of extant literature, and the dynamics between them are studied using the total interpretive structural modeling (TISM) technique. The developed model has also been statistically validated.
Findings
Results indicate that top management leadership, location and infrastructure drive academics, research and consultancy, industry collaboration and placements, resulting in accreditation from global agencies, thereby improving the institute’s quality.
Research limitations/implications
The TISM framework was developed based on the suggestions of the majority of respondents rather than using a fuzzy one, which requires a much larger data set. Nevertheless, the bias of the majority approach can be removed by multiple conversations with respondents. Secondly, the model development and validation are based on the perceptions of faculty members working at engineering institutes in India. Scholars can extend the work in the future by identifying additional factors and considering administrators’ perceptions.
Originality/value
The study integrates the factors that impact the quality of engineering institutes in a unique way to understand their combined impact. The developed framework will assist policymakers in identifying and dedicating adequate resources to essential factors that drive the other factors, thereby enhancing the institute’s ranking.

Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of the explanations and factors affecting dividend policy. This study employs a systematic literature review approach to review a large sample of studies related to the dividend puzzle. Although the analysis reveals mixed evidence involving the theories and determinants of dividend policy, some determinants appear in numerous studies. However, no consensus exists on an optimal dividend to resolve the dividend puzzle, and the authors propose a model to deal with the same. When examining dividend policy, researchers should consider the firm, market, behavior, and other determinants. When making significant dividend or stock decisions, managers and shareholders should also contemplate the factors, interactions, inadequacies, and consequences. Future researchers should strive to take a more comprehensive view when resolving the dividend puzzle. This study provides a current and complete picture of dividend policy's available theories and empirical determinants. Its significant contribution is identifying some of the more consistently essential determinants of dividend policy while proposing a holistic model to address the prevailing dividend dilemma.

The chapter reviews existing research on merger and acquisition (M&A) activities and chief executive officers (CEOs) in organizations. The study provides insights into the existing literature and proposes avenues for future research on M&A activities and CEOs. The present study adopts bibliometric analysis on 319 articles identified from the literature. The articles selected for analysis are extracted from the Scopus database and are selected based on the focus of the papers on M&A activities and CEOs. Existing studies on M&A activities and CEOs demonstrate that CEOs affect M&A activities, CEOs affect the performance of M&A activities, and M&A activities also influence the role of CEOs in M&A activities. We identify and list scientific mapping in trending topics, scientific production, citation analysis, prominent authors, and their affiliations. The study is relevant to academicians, practitioners, and policymakers interested in corporate finance, especially in the areas overlapping CEO attributes and M&A activities.

Abstract
Purpose
Despite being a global public–private partnerships (PPPs) leader, the Asian region is characterised by a wide PPP-divide, wherein select countries attract majority of PPP projects, while other countries fail to attract the requisite PPP investments. Against this background, the purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of PPP projects in Asia.
Design/methodology/approach
Using quantitative methods on secondary data, this study analyses the macroeconomic determinants of value and number of PPPs in Asia for the period 2010–2019. The methodology relies on panel fixed effects, random effects, two-step system generalised method of moments and negative binomial regression.
Findings
Results underline the importance of the country’s experience with PPPs, physical infrastructure, financial sector development, market conditions, institutional quality and political stability in attracting PPP projects.
Practical implications
Identification of the determinants of PPPs will assist private investors in making informed decisions related to the selection of countries for PPP investments, thereby increasing the likelihood of a project’s success.
Social implications
The results are expected to enable countries to formulate policies aimed at attracting higher PPP investments, thereby propelling economic development and improvement in the quality of life.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first such study that comprehensively analyses the determinants of both value of PPP investments and number of PPP projects for Asian countries.

Metaverse is going to change the landscape in every field, sector, and business. This chapter aims to explore the role of marketing in the metaverse focusing on each sector and business. This chapter has adopted bibliometrics analysis to explore the importance of metaverse marketing. The results suggest that the publication and citation of articles have seen a huge jump from 2022 onwards. Keyword co-occurrence analysis shows that metaverse with blockchain, marketing, education, and virtual reality (VR) are hot words in the upcoming time. Metaverse marketing shows that innovation, mixed reality, and extended reality will change the landscape of marketing. Analysis suggests that China, the United States, South Korea, and India are the top contributing countries in the research of metaverse. By understanding the implications of the metaverse on purchaser conduct and promoting systems, organizations can draw in the main interest group and gain esteem in this new advanced scene.

Purpose
Sustainability principles have been practiced and researched in marketing for nearly five decades, but the challenges we face today are still significant. This context defines the purpose of this paper, which is to find, synthesize and critically evaluate the existing literature on marketing in a sustainability context from 1969 to 2019. The ultimate aim is to provide a unified body of literature on sustainability marketing and classify the extant literature.
Design/methodology/approach
The relevant articles from selected journals were identified and manually verified using the Scopus database. The SPAR- 4- SLR protocol provides the framework for the methodology. In total, 749 articles were eligible for inclusion in the study.
Findings
The research findings are presented in the form of article categorization into 11 thematic categories. The thematic categories outlined previous studies' trend and contribution characteristics under the individual category, illustrating their implications.
Practical implications
The literature review aids in understanding the current state of research and piques researchers' interest in sustainability marketing. The findings of the study will be a valuable resource for future scholars, managers and policymakers.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the existing literature by providing valuable insights from previous research on the research trend in sustainability marketing and by providing a recommendation for future research avenues. After a long hiatus, this is the most up-to-date comprehensive article, providing a general overview of research trends.

Purpose
Nurse turnover in critical care units (CCU) significantly affects patient outcomes and health systems worldwide. To safeguard patient care quality, hospitals must address the underlying reasons for turnover and strategize to retain their skilled nursing workforce. The study proposes a prescriptive framework to reduce nurse turnover in CCUs.
Design/methodology/approach
In this study, the integrated methodology of Delphi-AHP-Entropy was used for the comparative prioritization of factors and subfactors that influence nursing staff turnover in CCUs.
Findings
Study findings reveal that “Organizational factors” and “Individual factors” dictate critical care nurse attrition rate. At the subfactor level, staffing policy, chronic fatigue, and perceived career are the leading concerns for the decision of nurses whether to work or leave.
Research limitations/implications
This study is valuable for both researchers and healthcare professionals. It examines whether actions related to nurse retention align with existing theory and identifies areas requiring further theoretical or applied studies to enhance understanding in this area. This insight can bolster the field’s knowledge base and integrate theoretical and applied knowledge effectively. Additionally, for healthcare professionals, the study provides an overview of key factors conducive to retaining nursing staff in the CCU, offering valuable guidance for implementing effective strategies.
Originality/value
This study uniquely positions itself by presenting a comprehensive and prescriptive framework for critical care nurse retention in the UAE.
