Abstract
Purpose
In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the mechanism of disease (MD) constitutes an essential element of syndrome differentiation and treatment, elucidating the mechanisms underlying the occurrence, progression, alterations and outcomes of diseases. However, there is a dearth of research in the field of intelligent diagnosis concerning the analysis of MD.
Design/methodology/approach
In this paper, we propose a supervised Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic model, termed MD-LDA, which elucidates the process of MDs identification. We leverage the label information inherent in the data as prior knowledge and incorporate it into the model’s training. Additionally, we devise two parallel parameter estimation algorithms for efficient training. Furthermore, we introduce a benchmark MD identification dataset, named TMD, for training MD-LDA. Finally, we validate the performance of MD-LDA through comprehensive experiments.
Findings
The results show that MD-LDA is effective and efficient. Moreover, MD-LDA outperforms the state-of-the-art topic models on perplexity, Kullback–Leibler (KL) and classification performance.
Originality/value
The proposed MD-LDA can be applied for the MD discovery and analysis of TCM clinical diagnosis, so as to improve the interpretability and reliability of intelligent diagnosis and treatment.

Abstract
Purpose
This article aims to reveal the factors influencing the sustainable development of mobile e-commerce from both user and operational perspectives. It fills the gap in qualitative research on the sustainable development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in mobile e-commerce based on the grounded theory. This study provides valuable insights and inspiration for sustainable development in this field and lays the theoretical foundation and research reference for future studies.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on the grounded theory (GT), interview method was used to conduct the study.
Findings
The impact of AI applications on mobile e-commerce is mainly reflected in three stages of the customer shopping process. They are pre-shopping, mid-shopping and after-shopping AI services and each of the three stages has its own separate dimensions that need attention. The study and its persistence aspects are discussed.
Practical implications
The results of this study can provide forward-looking suggestions and paths for the construction and optimization of future e-commerce platforms, contribute to the sustainable development of e-commerce and contribute to the sustainable and healthy growth of the social economy.
Originality/value
This study proposes sustainable development measures for the application of AI in mobile e-commerce, from operation to supervision, which is an important reference for promoting coordinated and rapid socio-economic development.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of the paper is to compare losses and temperatures in power transformer tanks for different high current lead arrangements.
Design/methodology/approach
3D computational tools MagNet and ThermNet based on the finite element method are used to calculate magnetic field distribution in 3D models of power transformers. Eddy current losses in conducting metal parts are induced by the stray magnetic field of transformer windings and high current leads. From loss distribution and appropriate cooling condition temperature values are calculated.
Findings
From calculation results it is possible to understand advantages and disadvantages of different lead arrangements. The analysis is finalized with a short presentation of the influence of magnetic shielding height on temperature and loss values.
Originality/value
Results give transformer designer clearer understanding of precautions that should be taken for avoiding high temperatures on the tank wall of a transformer.
