Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to present a novel scheme of high‐dynamic global positioning system (GPS) software receiver in order to improve the capturing speed and trading accuracy of GPS receiver.
Design/methodology/approach
First, the beginning of C/A code can be found through the delay and multiply approach. To solve the problems of estimating a certain satellite's Doppler shift from the signals of several visible satellites, the “delay and accumulation unit” is put forward, and besides, performance of inertial navigation system‐assisted tracking loop in high‐dynamic circumstance is analysed by means of mathematical modelling and simulation experiments, whose results verified the validity of the proposed tracking scheme.
Findings
In this paper, the two‐dimension searching process in conventional acquisition scheme is transformed into two one‐dimension searching processes, thus improving the capturing speed.
Research limitations/implications
This software receiver has only been verified by means of mathematical simulation, and the validity in hardware receiver is still obscured.
Originality/value
This paper presents a novel high‐dynamic GPS software receiver scheme, which can be seen as a reference of engineering application and simulation research.

The purpose is to provide decision support for tourists recommending scenic spots and corresponding suggestions for the management of scenic spots.
Abstract
Purpose
The purpose is to provide decision support for tourists recommending scenic spots and corresponding suggestions for the management of scenic spots.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on the Baidu index data generated, this paper analyzes the temporal and spatial characteristics of network attention of 5A scenic spots in Sichuan Province. The online comment data are used to build the assessment model of scenic spots based on network attention, and the comment information of tourists is mined and analyzed through statistical analysis. At the same time, the key attributes of scenic spots from the perspective of network attention are evaluated and analyzed by using the probabilistic linguistic term set. Finally, this paper further constructs a recommendation model based on the key attribute set of scenic spots.
Findings
This paper uses different types of tourism network information, integrates multi-types of data and methods, fully excavates the value information of tourism network information, constructs the research framework of “scenic spot assessment + scenic spot recommendation” from the perspective of network attention, analyzes the network attention characteristics of scenic spots, evaluates the performance of scenic spots, and implements scenic spot recommendation.
Originality/value
This paper integrates multi-source data and multidisciplinary theoretical methods to form a scenic spot research framework of “assessment + recommendation” from the perspective of network attention.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper represents the first attempt to examine investor behavior for green stocks through the lens of return co-movement, and provides evidence indicating that green investment practices have gained traction after 2012.
Design/methodology/approach
We empirically test the hypotheses that the stock returns of firms with similar carbon dioxide emissions levels move together and, if so, whether this co-movement has increased over time as people become more “carbon-conscious.” Our baseline sample, based on carbon emissions data from public company disclosures, suffers from limited coverage, particularly before 2016, leading to low statistical power and sample selection bias. To address this, we employ machine learning methodologies to forecast the carbon emissions of firms that do not disclose such information, nearly quadrupling the sample size. Our findings indicate that stocks with similar carbon emissions exhibit higher co-movement in stock returns in both the baseline and augmented data samples. Furthermore, this co-movement has increased during the 2012–2020 period compared to the 2004–2011 period, suggesting that green investment has gained traction over time.
Findings
We find that stocks with similar carbon emissions exhibit higher co-movement in stock returns in both the baseline sample and the augmented data sample, and the co-movement has increased in the 2012–2020 period compared to the 2004–2011 years, suggesting that green investment has gained traction over time.
Originality/value
(1) We use machine learning methodology to augment carbon emissions sample which goes back to 2004. Our approach almost quadruples the original data, enabling large-sample testing. (2) We are the first paper to examine how green companies' stock returns co-move and thus provide complementary results on the research on expected returns and carbon emissions.

Abstract
Purpose
The objective is to address financing challenges with an innovative technical approach and provide financial support to facilitate the sustainable development of characteristic tourist towns.
Design/methodology/approach
In this study, a novel decision model is proposed, which utilizes the CRITIC improved G1 weighting method to analyze financing factors and applies GRA to enhance the TOPSIS model under a Z-Number fuzzy environment. Finally, sensitivity analysis and comparative assessment were conducted to validate the findings and the model.
Findings
The findings indicate that equity financing is the optimal mode of financing for characteristic tourist towns, with bond financing serving as a viable alternative. Key factors influencing financing include economic benefit, social benefit and policy risk. Managers should carefully consider these factors when selecting financing methods in order to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
Originality/value
As a new business model and value creation method of cultural and tourism integration, the financing decision of a characteristic tourism town has always been the key to the overall promotion and operation. The research constructs a financing index system for characteristic tourism towns based on benefit and risk considerations, using the hot spring town in Anhui Province, China, as a case study to evaluate eight financing models.

Abstract
Purpose
Feelings about conflict in labor relations are determined by both the objective conditions surrounding the dimension of labor relations and their subjective evaluation. This study aims to examine features of the subjective evaluation factors in labor relations for new generation employees born in the post-1980s, transitional China, and to explore the conflict reduction strategies in labor relations.
Design/methodology/approach
This study designed items and a scale to measure employees’ subjective evaluation bias regarding labor relations, and conducted a survey of 1,500 employees in 80 Chinese enterprises. It conducted a principal components analysis of the subjective evaluation biases, and a covariance analysis to explore differences in the common factors between employees of two generations. Comparing the subjective bias with the objective status of labor relations, as well as with employers’ expectations, this study analyzed the feelings toward conflict and conflict management strategies.
Findings
There are eight common factors in the subjective evaluation bias toward labor relations, four of which show significant differences between employees of two generations. Employers should study these differences, and apply conflict reduction measures to manage labor relations.
Originality/value
This is one of the first studies to propose the concept of a subjective evaluation bias regarding labor relations, and examine the common factors and features among new generation employees. It establishes a model for feelings toward conflict through four combinations of the subjective preferences and objective status dimensions. This study offers new insights for reducing workplace conflict.
