Abstract
Purpose
This paper seeks to analyze ecological networks from a different viewpoint, using the concepts of orbits, coverage, invariant sets, etc.
Design/methodology/approach
A very simple view of ecosystems is presented, without delving into their multiple properties. Specifically, an ecosystem will be considered a system containing living and non‐living entities whose interrelationships include those of predator‐prey and competition. On interpreting that orbits are associated with ecosystems' direct and indirect paths, it is possible to present a much more conceptual design of ecological networks.
Findings
An ecosystem's two most important relationships, those of predator‐prey and competition, appear to be interconnected with the concepts of coverage, invariance and orbit, with multiple properties.
Originality/value
There are many interesting analyses of ecological networks' indirect effects that develop the quantitative and qualitative theory of ecological networks. What is new in this study is that it is the first dealing with orbits in the field of ecosystems.

In this paper, we define and examine the concept of a fuzzy recognizer. If L(M) is the language recognized by an incomplete fuzzy recognizer M, we show that there is a completion M of M such that L(M) = L(M). We also show that if A is a recognizable set of words, then there is a complete accessible fuzzy recognizer MA such that L(MA) = A. We lay groundwork to determine rational decompositions of recognizable sets.

Abstract
I‐V characteristics of GaAs n‐i‐n structures are calculated by considering impact ionization of carriers. Impact ionization at reverse‐biased n‐i junction becomes a cause of steep current rise when an acceptor density in the i‐layer is high. It is shown that an optimum acceptor density exists to keep a good isolation. Photoconduction transients of GaAs n‐i‐n structures are also simulated, and are shown to be strongly affected by existence of n‐i junctions.

Presents fundamental results on fuzzy Mealy machines. Unlike the classical Mealy machine which requires two functions, one to describe the next state and another to describe the output, a fuzzy Mealy machine requires only one fuzzy function to characterize completely the next state and the output produced. Apart from the obvious generalization that can be obtained from corresponding results on fuzzy finite state machines by introduction of an output associated with each transition, introduces the concept of an interval partition of [0, 1] and uses it to obtain more general results.

Abstract
Purpose
Chemical reaction effects are added to the governing equation. This paper aims to get the solution by converting the partial differential equation into an ordinary differential equation and solve using a perturbation scheme and applying the boundary conditions.
Design/methodology/approach
In this paper, the authors discussed the chemical reaction effects of heat and mass transfer on megnato hydro dynamics free convective rotating flow of a visco-elastic incompressible electrically conducting fluid past a vertical porous plate through a porous medium with suction and heat source. The authors analyze the effect of time dependent fluctuating suction on a visco-elastic fluid flow.
Findings
Using variable parameters of the fluid, the velocity, temperature and concentration of the fluid are analyzed through graphs.
Originality/value
The velocity profile reduces by increasing the values of thermal Grashof number (Gr), mass Grashof number (Gc) and the magnetic parameter (M). On the other hand, the velocity profile gets increased by increasing the permeability parameter (K). The temperature profile decreases by raising the value of Prandtl number (Pr) and frequency of oscillation parameter (ω). However, the source parameter (S) has the opposite effect on the temperature profile. The concentration profile reduces in all points by raising the chemical reaction parameter Kl, Schmidt number Sc, frequency of oscillation ω and the time t.

Abstract
THE use of liquid oxygen as an oxidizer for various fuels in liquid rocket propellent systems is not new. Professor Goddard used liquid oxygen in his rocket experiments and the well known German V‐2 rockets used this material as an oxidizer. However, its effect on non‐metallic materials ordinarily used in rocket systems was not investigated until recent years. This investigation was prompted by phenomena which had been experienced by rocket engine and rocket aircraft manufacturers and by suppliers of the material. It was observed that when some organic materials came in intimate contact with liquid oxygen they became prone to detonation when subjected to certain impact energies. This was undoubtedly due to the formation of unstable organo‐peroxide compounds which when impacted released high levels of energy resulting in an explosion. Specifically, when liquid oxygen was accidently spilled on asphalt and inadvertently stepped on, the asphalt would often explode. Also, leather gaskets immersed in liquid oxygen and subjected to surge impact detonated with disastrous effects.

Abstract
In the paper the optimization procedure of a direct current motor with a hybrid excitation has been presented. The excitation system consists of a shunt field winding disposed around field pole and permanent magnet, both acting in parallel. The field distribution in motor for various magnet and field pole dimensions has been determined using finite element method. The flux linkage with the armature winding has been computed. Demagnetizing effect of armature current was taken into account. The optimal permanent magnet and the field pole dimensions, ensuring minimum total cost of purchase and work during assumed period of time were calculated. Motor characteristics e.g. rated torque, rated current, speed regulation limit were used as constraints. In worked up algorithm and computer program Carroll internal penalty function method was used. Some basic suggestions tor design of optimal hybrid excited dc motors with parallel permanent magnet and electromagnetic excitation are given.

This paper aims to encourage PR practitioners to appreciate their role as the pivot of their organisation’s reputation management. It discusses the importance of codes of ethics, claiming that these should be reviewed by public relations associations every 4‐5 years. Good conduct is essential for every PR practitioner as a reputation manager, and PR associations must ensure that codes of ethics are enforced. PR associations should address the challenge posed by the boom in the labour markets for PR practitioners by ensuring that all practitioners are well trained.

Abstract
Purpose
This research focuses on a very important research question of determining the appropriate feature selection methods for software defect prediction. The study is centered on the creation of a new method that would enable the identification of both positive and negative selection criteria and the handling of ambiguous information in the decision-making process.
Design/methodology/approach
To do so, we develop an improved method by extending the WASPAS assessment in the context of bipolar complex fuzzy sets, which leads to the bipolar complex fuzzy WASPAS method. The approach also uses Einstein operators to increase the accuracy of aggregation and manage complicated decision-making parameters. The methodology is designed for the processing of multi-criteria decision-making problems where criteria have positive and negative polarities as well as other ambiguous information.
Findings
It is also shown that the proposed methodology outperforms the traditional weighted sum or product models when assessing feature selection methods. The incorporation of bipolar complex fuzzy sets with WASPAS improves the assessment of selection criteria by taking into account both positive and negative aspects of the criteria, which contributes to more accurate feature selection for software defect prediction. We investigate a case study related to the identification of feature selection techniques for software defect prediction by using the bipolar complex fuzzy WASPAS methodology. We compare the proposed methodology with certain prevailing ones to reveal the supremacy and the requirements of the proposed theory.
Originality/value
This research offers the first integrated framework for handling bipolarity and uncertainty in feature selection for software defect prediction. The combination of Einstein operators with bipolar complex fuzzy sets improves the DM process, which will be useful for software engineers and help them select the best feature selection techniques. This work also helps to enhance the overall performance of software defect prediction systems.
