Contax sells first FX-D after Nepcon launch for medical device production
Following the launch of Speedline's Camalot FX-D dispensing system at Nepcon 2007, Contax Ltd has announced the first UK order from Zarlink semiconductor's advanced packaging group.
Located in South Wales, Zarlink's advanced packaging group specialises in developing miniaturised electronic components and micro-packaging techniques, primarily for implanted medical devices and telecommunication applications. The advanced packaging group purchased the new FX-D to help support the continued miniaturisation of its customers' products.
Aimed at the mid- to high-end dispensing market, the Camalot FX-D is a very flexible system that can be retrofitted to meet the changing production needs of any organisation. It can be configured as a standalone or in-line system, and includes options such as: a heat facility, servo-driven pumps, SmartStreamâ„¢ technology, weight scales and conveyors. The system can also support two independently controlled Z-heads for sequential dispensing.
