Article Type: Industry news From: Pigment & Resin Technology, Volume 38, Issue 2
INX International Ink Co. and an impressive group of customers recently earned multiple awards across a broad spectrum of categories in the 2008 Gold Ink Awards competition. The annual event was sponsored by Printing Impressions and Publishing Executive magazines.
Six INX customers garnered a total of 24 Gold, Silver, Bronze and Pewter awards in 13 different categories. Winning entries ranged from wine labels, high-end hardcover books, annual reports, soft cover books and calendars, to folders, brochures, sheetfed and web consumer catalogs, business catalogs, media kits, direct mail packages and dimensional printing. Plaques were presented to the winners at the Gold Ink Awards Banquet on October 27, and held at McCormick Place in Chicago during Graph Expo.
“On behalf of all our employees, I congratulate these customers for their achievements in this high-profile annual competition,” said Rick Clendenning, INX President and CEO. “We are pleased to contribute to their Gold Ink Award success while assisting them with their day-to-day business success. The quality of our ink products across a full range of print applications and processes is reflected in the number and diversity of the awards.”
Among INX customers in this year’s competition, The Hennegan Co. took home a Gold award for the Saks Fifth Avenue Pre-Fall Designer Book, plus two Bronze and eight Pewter awards. A direct mail package for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino earned a Silver award for Jet, which also picked up two Pewters. Getz Color Graphics garnered a Bronze and two Pewter awards, while Cenveo Graphic Arts Center and Shapco Printing Inc. each earned three Pewters and G3 Enterprises was honored with one.
