DuPont contract for Chance and Hunt

Dupont Powder Coatings has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the UK and Ireland with Chance and Hunt. The contract covers DuPont specialist powder coatings, Abcite and Flamulit, each of which offers outstanding properties in a number of applications.

Abcite is a powder coating for metal substrates and is ideal for applications where resistance to harsh environments is required. A common application is in street furniture such as lighting columns, traffic lights and road signs which need to withstand environmental pollution, vandalism, road salt, dog fouling and exhaust gases. Abcite has a proven track record over many years as a superior, zero-maintenance coating, owing to its chemical and mechanical properties. Different colours and decorative effects can also be achieved. Further advantages include good adhesion without the need for primers and a high impact resistance. Abcite is easy to repair and is free from halogens and solvents.

Flamulit powder coatings contain specialist additives and are intended for applications where specific or unusual protection properties are needed. Flamulit offers excellent corrosion and chemical resistance, good adhesion without primers and high impact strength. Typical applications include linings for fire extinguishers and batteries, valves and tanks, together with automotive and marine applications.
