Flow cups

Keywords: Flow, Measurement

The range of viscosity measurement cups manufactured by Weller Patents Development of London, UK, has been expanded by the addition of new high specification flow cups. Weller informs us that all of the cups are made from high grade stainless steel so that they retain their accuracy through long years of use and are easier to clean (Plate 7).

Plate 7 New high specification flow cups are introduced by Weller Patents Development

Three new series of flow cups have been added. The first are five cups to the specifications of DIN/ISO 2431; BSEN 535 1991 (numbers 3, 4, 5, 6 & 8) and are designed for optimum flow times of 30 to 100 seconds. Secondly there are five cups to the BS3900: Part A6, 1971 specification (numbers 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6), also for flow times of 30 to 100 seconds. Finally there is a series of four cups to the ASTM D1200 FORD specification numbers 1, 2, 3 & 4).

These cups are added to Weller's existing range of Zahn Cups Nos 1 to 5 with both conventional and hook handles (so they can be hooked over the edge of a container). All of these flow cups are said to be manufactured to the same high standards that are required to ensure accurate and repeatable measurement.
