Rexson Systems of Kettering has introduced its new multi-tasking Windows NT dispensing software that enables operators to dispense product and operate management functions at the same time. This is said to eliminate the need to wait until dispensing is complete to update management information, saving time and money. Rexson believes that this is the only software of its type available in the dispensing industry (Plate 6).

The new multi-tasking software will operate on a single PC running Windows NT or on an NT network. The NT processor can be allocated priorities enabling the user to set dispensing to the top priority. This ensures that dispensing accuracy is maintained while management functions run simultaneously.

The dispense program is written in Delphi and the management system in FoxPro. As FoxPro is also a Microsoft product files can easily be transferred into Excel or Access.

Rexson says that the new software is available now as an option on most equipment and will soon become a standard throughout the range. The software can also be added as an upgrade to existing installations.

The company is already working on a visual FoxPro program that provides even more information in a graphical form making it even easier to use. This new development is currently under test and will be released later this year.
