With the older population rapidly increasing the Care Show indicated what products and services are available.
Entry is free and attendance is invaluable to anyone involved in the care industry. One of the key aspects of which is food and nutrition particularly as this forms one of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. Indeed the CQC exhibited for the first time and provided a talk in the Keynote Seminar Theatre where Alan Rosenbach, the CQC’s Special Policy Lead, gave an insight into the latest developments at the sector’s regulator.
The show also included:
- •
Free educational seminars, presented by expert speakers.
- •
Demonstrations of the latest products from over 180 suppliers.
- •
Valuable business ideas.
- •
Networking with industry peers and professionals.
From a foods and nutrition perspective there were a number of organisations exhibiting including:
- •
The NACC with information on care catering.
- •
Apetito and Tillery Valley Foods both with a range of ready made meals.
- •
Various training companies who provide training on food safety.
- •
Companies who provide products such as yoghurts and food supplies.
For anyone with an interest in nutrition and the care industry this is well worth attending.
