Editorial
I am at a loss for words to describe the efforts of many reviewers who make our journal a success. For those that know me, I am seldom at a loss for words. I have been extremely pleased by the efforts of our reviewers. For better or worse, the journal is moving from one page or less reviews to two-three page reviews with more developed and well thought comments that are given in a constructive manner. Of course, this means more work for the authors, but all of this is designed to improve the quality of a manuscript if it is done in a constructive manner. Thus, I slowly see our articles improving in quality. Even those articles that are rejected get more thoughtful reviews which helps to improve the manuscript in some other journal.
The sad part about this is the reviewers are putting more work into their reviews and still getting financially paid the same – which is nothing. So, what does this mean? It means that all I can do is give my sincere thanks for the professional service that the following list of reviewers has done for JMP. There are some people on this list who clearly have gone beyond the call of professional service and have helped me out in many ways when I was in a tight pinch. I simply cannot say enough about this considerate group of people who are dedicated to professional service.
