Quaker Chemical Corporation has introduced a new member of its Quintolubric® family of global, fire-resistant hydraulic fluids. Designated as Quintolubric 899, the new product is designed for optimum performance and dramatically longer life in extreme operating conditions.
"The chemistry of this product is unique in our line – and in the industry," explained Michael Zink, Global Marketing Manager. "It has a fully saturated synthetic polyol ester base that gives it unmatched stability. In fact, it offers a life expectancy that is three times longer than Quintolubric 888, our flagship synthetic product."
The product profile makes 899 ideal for use in the latest mobile equipment, where high temperatures and tight systems place high demands on the fluid. What is more, it delivers extended life in applications where temperatures can reach 90°C, such as in the glass and steel industries.
As part of the Quintolubric global family, this product is exactly the same everywhere in the world, an innovation in the industry, ushered in with Quintolubric 888 in 2002. Formulation, specifications, and raw materials are identical at all Quaker manufacturing sites, as are testing and certification. This means OEMs can be confident that the fluid they tested and specified is the precise fluid that will be delivered, wherever their equipment is installed or operating. As an additional advantage, Quintolubric 899 is compatible with other fluids in the market, so switching fluid is easy. The system can simply be drained of the old fluid and refilled with 899 – no cleaning or flushing is required.
Quintolubric 899 also provides the full range of benefits associated with the Quintolubric family. It is fire-resistant, biodegradable, non-toxic to aquatic life, contains no hazardous ingredients, and is non-irritating.
