Uniqema, a member of the ICI group of companies, has agreed to purchase certain carboxylate ester synthetic lubricant products from Great Lakes Manufacturing (UK) Limited (GLML) and its affiliates.

All of the non-polymeric carboxylic esters which GLML has sold under the Reolube and Reomol brand name are included in the agreement. These products will be manufactured by Uniqema and sold under the Emkarate and Priolube brand name. The agreement does not include any phosphate ester products which all remain within the GLML product portfolio.

Uniqema and GLML have been working together over a period of time to ensure that the products to be supplied by Uniqema will meet the same specification as those previously supplied by GLML.

Uniqema is a global speciality chemicals business with an annual turnover in excess of $1 billion. The lubricants business of Uniqema has one of the most extensive product portfolios of any supplier, ranging from reliable industry standards to tailor-made performance products. The product range includes oleochemicals, esters and polyalkylene glycols, EO/PO surfactants and amides for use as lubricants base fluids, lubricity additives, corrosion inhibitors, emulsifiers anti-foam additives, EP/anti-wear additives and friction modifiers.
