Abstract
We all know that you can't believe everything you read in the press. But with food matters widely reported over the last year, how do we decide what is reliable and authoritative and which is poorly researched and unsubstantial? A recent article in Sweetener Update had some useful advice about this. Here we reproduce the article with kind permission of the International Sweeteners Association
