Abstract

The expansion of tourism, especially marked since the 1960's, has impinged to a greater or lesser degree on everyone's life, even if only to the extent of being one in the crowd on a popular best. Because of its enormous impact on everyday life the phenomenon of tourism has, slowly but surely, become a subject of scientific research, with special interest for geographers.
