Bureaucratic Politics: Decision‐Making in Organisations

Abstract

Some people argue that management, including personnel management, is decision‐making. This perspective ignores the many other functions of a manager — providing and processing information, persuasion and role‐playing—but certainly it would seem to be one of a manager's main activities.
