ALUMINIUM‐TIN BEARINGS SHOW LITTLE WEAR AFTER 60,000 MILES
Abstract
Tests carried out on tramways in Rome by arrangements between the Tin Research Institute (Fraser Road, Perivale, Greenford, Mddx.) and Instituto Sperimentale Metalli Legerri, with three aluminium bearing alloys have recently been reported by N. Collari and L. Paglialunga. (See “Tin and its Uses;', Autumn, 1956). The compositions of the three alloys tested were as shown in the table.
