Abstract

Although we could all give up using aerosol sprays still using CFC's as a propellant, it would still only constitute a small saving in the attack on the ozone layer compared with the use of CFC's in industrial solvent cleaning and the production of polyurethane foams. The manufacturer's answer to the first problem appears to be that we should ensure that all solvent cleaning plants have a tight‐fitting lid!
