Abstract
In 1988 the growth in the use of powder coatings in the UK is expected to rise by 12 per cent — mainly at the expense of solvent‐borne paints. Paint chemists have been accustomed to hearing prophesies for a “phenomenal growth” in the use of powder for some 20 years now, but in reality the growth was minimal. In consequence, many potential users, and potential powder manufacturers, turned their backs on powder and stayed with conventional wet paints.
