Innovations in ICI's new Stowmarket refinish plant

Abstract

The new ICI Autocolor refinish paint plant at ICI's Stowmarket plant incorporates a series of innovations that make it the most advanced plant of its kind in the world. Built to ICI design at a cost of £5 million, it represents a major breakthrough in the paint manufacturing industry. The target at the moment in 80,000 litres/week, but capacity can be increased considerably by shift working.
