Abstract

In recent years, there has been increased interest in the curing of stoving paints by infra‐red emitters. IR is often the choice for a new installation, and may replace convection oven curing when a finishing line is modernised. For simple shapes and for sheet metal, IR heating is an efficient method of heat transfer. If the shape is more complex, modern stoves incorporating both radiant and convection heating (by forced draught circulation) are availale.
