Abstract

A new coating, Clearcoat, which prevents tarnishing of metals and protects plated metal surfaces, is being marketed worldwide by Engelhard Industries Ltd., St. Nicholas Road, Sutton, Surrey SM1 1EN. The coating, which is extremely hard and glass clear, is virtually invisible on bright metal surfaces. It is resistant to boiling water, salt spray, common chemicals and solvents, and is unaffected by sunlight, showing no tendency to yellow or discolour.
