Coatings update: a look at economics and statistics
Abstract
The Sinai Desert has figured prominently in the news because of its basic association with peace in the Mid‐East. That it is of some interest to coatings chemists has been less well‐publicized. In fact, a French artist was reported to have purchased six tons of paint which he proposed to spread over certain mountains in the desert to paint them blue. Needless to say, Israel's Nature Protection Society objected vigorously and seemingly their objections have been upheld.
