The pumping and metering of solvents
Abstract
In general in the UK, solvents are stored in tanks above or below ground and it is to this arrangement that this article refers. Companies purchasing solvent in drums may employ hand operated pumps with simple rotation counting, i.e. metering, devices, or more commonly, simply fill small containers by gravity for transportation of the solvent to the point of use.
