Additives for inks: a change in emphasis
Abstract
Inkmakers have long advised the printer only to make additions to inks when necessary. Despite the advances which have taken place in ink formulation, they still give the same advice. Why then, the printer asks, must additions still be made to inks and why, as is also asked, should they be made so sparingly? Put simply, the answer is in the demands made of modern print.
