Abstract

The properties of any paint system are largely determined by the resin on which the paint is based. Correct selection of the resin is therefore of fundamental importance if long‐lasting protection is to be provided against corrosive elements. Among the paint resins that are well established, chlorinated rubber is now being used to an increasing extent because it meets the essential requirements for anti‐corrosion protection.
