Abstract
Instead of carrying a large stock of pigment dispersion types to satisfy various products, it is claimed by Bee Chemicals that it is only necessary to stock A line universal dispersants. This product is a 100% methacrylate resin, which is water white, heat stable, light stable, and with excellent moisture resistance. The solvent is a high flash glycol ether which has no aromatic hydrocarbon pollution problems. The flashpoint is above 90°F, and is therefore beyond the recent legal limits. As well as being used for tinting, they can also be used as sole colours. Thus from one dispersion it is said to be possible to formulate a complete range of industrial enamels, such as alkyd/melamines, epoxy/amino, nitroceilu‐loses, chlorinated rubbers, polyurethanes, vinyls and plastisols.
