Abstract

Marketed under the Abbewell brand name in five shades and white, a water‐based paint has been formulated to give a solid opaque finish with two applications. Incorporating a film permeability that allows recently‐plastered walls to hydrate, Abbewell is particularly suitable for the decoration of new buildings. The paint can be applied by brush, spray or roller to new or old walls, asbestos or insulating boards, hardboard or wallpaper, and coverage is claimed to be 9?19–11?03m2/ litre for the first coat, and 12?87–14?71m2/litre for the second coat.
