Editorial

Abstract

The Surface Mount Technology Association, SMTA, established in 1984, is a non‐profit, international association of companies and individuals (2700 members) involved in all aspects of surface mount technology (SMT). The Association is dedicated to the advancement of SMT and companion technologies through member education and interaction. Members range from those contemplating surface mount implementation, through current users of SMT, to those who are widely recognised in the industry as SMT champions.
