Abstract
Developed nations have problems converting from chlorofluorocarbon solvents to non‐polluting cleaning methods. This problem is amplified in developing nations which could have economic difficulties in implementing the provisions of the Montreal Protocol. This paper sheds some light on some of the problems involved and how they can be overcome.
