Textbank: Text searching and retrieval

Abstract

Textbank is a full‐text retrieval package that makes use of the structure inherent in most text files. It offers powerful, rapid searching capabilities and is very easy to use. Results of searches can be sorted, stored, printed, temporarily hidden or permanently deleted. Existing machine‐readable text can be converted into a Textbank database by letting the package do automatic indexing. Organisations that have large procedure manuals, litigation support files and other text collections will find Textbank an excellent vehicle for providing access to their information.
