The structure of unstructured training
Abstract
One of the most difficult forms of consultant help to sell to a prospective client is unstructured training. Clients naturally wish to have a reasonably clear description of what they are paying for; so most training consultants prepare packages of some material substance that illustrate what they normally do. Often these packages are highly structured in terms of both time allocation and written content. Some consultancies in fact sell a standard package often without any modification for specific client needs, the argument being that training is generic rather than specific.
