Thinkercise — jogging for the mind
88
Abstract
Most of us have now accepted that physical exercise — of which jogging is currently one of the more popular forms — is good for the body. It fights the flab, tones up the muscles, and gives a feeling of general well‐being. But what is needed to balance this concern for physical fitness is, of course, a similar concern for mental agility. There is, after all, little point in tuning up the body if the mind is allowed to atrophy.
