Abstract

There is news from Kodak, and some will say that it is not before time, of another type of Super 8 filmfor camera use. Ever since the introduction by Kodak of the Super 8 format, the company has only supplied one type of film for use in cameras. The film is Kodachrome II, balanced for exposure in artificial light and with a speed rating of 40 ASA. When used in a camera with an A to D conversion filteer daylight exposure was possible using the film as a 25 ASA speed rating. Super 8 cameras are usually provided with a built‐in A to D filter and the means to remove it from the optical path when filming is to be carried out in artificial light.
