Abstract
With the increasing call of employers for higher qualifications for entry into industry more and more students are caught on the examination treadmill. Just how valid are the results given by the existing examination system? Here, Dr Frank Bacon gives his answers and outlines a scheme intended to show more accurately the ability of each student, not to pass exams, but to do the work set out for him.
