MANAGEMENT STRATIFICATION
Abstract
THE QUALITY of British management has been assailed from so many directions that even the most detached observer must view the position with some disquiet. One of the latest castigations comes from a distinguished University economist who, at the recent British Association meeting at Norwich, produced considerable evidence to show that our relatively stagnant industry is largely due to our neglect of technological innovation and that this in turn stems from lack of effective management at the top.
