Measuring for effective time management
Abstract
Once goals have been established, the next step for effective time management is to analyse how you spend your time. Few people really know how their time is spent. Asking how it is spent results in some wildly inaccurate analysis. We have preconceived ideas: Yesterday I spent two‐thirds of my time with customers. On examination, it may transpire that one‐third was spent with customers and two‐thirds travelling, attending meetings, handling paperwork and the like.
