Adult education as a unifying influence
Abstract
Most people will doubtless agree that in the educational, business, and industrial fields the need for positive viewpoints and a willingness to work intelligently for the common good are personal qualities which make for national progress. These goodwill attitudes constitute what the psychologists call the virtues of leadership, and provide spurs to great enterprises. But in terms of training people to adopt such characteristics, a framework of reference is essential.
