Food, drink and tobacco

Abstract

The Food Drink and Tobacco Industry Training Board was set up in 1968 under the terms of the Industrial Training Act, 1964. Its brief, along with that of the other training boards, was ‘to ensure an adequate supply of properly trained men and women at all levels in the activities they cover and to secure an improvement in the quality and quantity of training’.
