Unaccustomed as I am

Abstract

Every year hundreds of organisations hold their annual conferences, which are regarded as the highlight of the company's year. Vast sums are lavished upon five‐star hotels and no effort is spared to produce a lively agenda. Frequently a number of guest speakers are invited to these meetings to inject new thinking into the corporate bloodstream. Regardless of differences in their individual backgrounds, most can be grouped into six main types.
