Equal pay and training for girls
22
Abstract
Nine million women constitute more than one third of the total British labour force; of these three quarters are in jobs that take less than six months to learn; fifty per cent earn less than thirty‐five pence an hour and their rate of pay is anything from five to thirty per cent lower than that of their male colleagues. This is what discrimination is all about.
