Part‐time courses: catch as catch can
Abstract
It is often claimed as one of the main features of the further education system that it offers opportunities to a wide range of people at a variety of levels. Indeed, if the FE system doesn't, who does? But it's not always as easy as it seems to find a suitable course. For example, one might think it relatively straightforward to attend a further education course leading to A level. After some time trying to find a college offering a part‐time day course in Economics and British Constitution in the ILEA area for a 27 year‐old unsupported mother I think I have discovered the necessary qualifications.
