Problems of apprenticeship — 5: After Apprenticeship — What?
Abstract
An apprenticeship should have, and be seen to have, a continuing purpose. It also needs a real ‘end‐on relationship’ with the career‐building period which follows. Without this dynamic continuity the period cannot have its full usefulness for apprentice or for employer.
