Purpose – Summarizes the results of a survey, which was carried out in 2006, that asked US trainers about their main priorities in their jobs. Design/methodology/approach – Lists the training priorities that were identified. Focuses on the top three priorities – linking training to business; the purchase of an LMS or an LCMS; and supporting a major business initiative. Quotes from individual US trainers about why these were their top priorities. Findings – Refers back to previous surveys and concludes that trainers are continuing to focus on ensuring that training is aligned with organizational goals and will support their achievement.
