Park Electrochemical Corp. announced the promotion of David Luttrull, PhD to product director for Park/Nelco's high performance materials, effective 1 October 2000. David's new responsibility will involve management of the current high performance products and the new product introduction process from R&D project criteria identification through product commercialization. David will report to Chris Johnson, senior VP of corporate development.

Dr Luttrull joined the company in 1997 as materials scientist for Neltec, Inc. He was promoted to R&D manager for Neltec and most recently as the director of materials science for Park/Nelco. Prior to joining the company, he worked as a technical sales representative in the semi-conductor industry and as a senior chemist for Nalco Chemical Company. David received a PhD in physical-organic chemistry from Arizona State University.

Park Electrochemical Corp. have also announced the appointment of Reinhard Bartusek as commercial director of Nelco/Dielektra Europe, the company's European business unit. Nelco/Dielektra Europe includes the following subsidiaries of the company: New England Laminates (UK) Ltd located in Skelmersdale, England, Nelco, SA located in Mirebeau, France, and Dielektra GmbH located in Cologne, Germany. Mr Bartusek will report to Clive Hepplestone, managing director of Nelco/Dielektra Europe and vice-president of Park Electrochemical Corp. Mr Bartusek will also serve as co-managing director of Dielektra GmbH, along with Mr Ronald Brett, the current managing director of Dielektra GmbH. As managing director of Dielektra GmbH, Mr Brett will continue to be responsible for the operations of that subsidiary.

Mr Bartusek has had extensive experience over many years in the printed circuit board industry and printed circuit board supply industry. Mr Bartusek worked for the printed circuit manufacturing unit of IBM Germany GmbH in Sindelfingen, Germany from 1973 to 1996. Mr Bartusek held positions at IBM Germany in quality, engineering and line management, including plant manager of the Sindelfingen PCB manufacturing plant. Mr Bartusek also worked at IBM in Endicott, New York as a liaison engineer for the new advanced printed circuit line. In 1996, Mr Bartusek joined LeaRonal GmbH as manager of the Printed Circuit Profit Center and was later appointed managing director of LeaRonal GmbH. Prior to joining IBM, Mr Bartusek held engineering and sales positions at the Siemens AG printed circuit board plant in Munich, Germany and the LPW AG metal plating plant in Bernhausen, Germany. Mr Bartusek received his professional engineering degree in 1970 from Fachhochschule Aalen.
