Abstract

Purpose

This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies.

Design

Findings

A qualitative study of local government managers from Indonesia has identified 19 competencies across three top levels of management. The competencies are grouped into five clusters – managing personal, managing task, managing work unit, managing sociocultural and functional aspects.
