Abstract
Purpose
This study explores the role of organizational learning capabilities in mediating the relationship between workplace happiness and organizational citizenship behavior, investigating whether the organization’s ability to foster a learning environment enhances this relationship.
Design/methodology/approach
This study synthesizes the existing research and theoretical framework and explains the mechanism through which organizational learning capabilities plays a mediating role between workplace happiness and organizational citizenship behavior.
Findings
The workplace happiness influences organizational citizenship behavior, and the organizational learning capabilities act as a mediating link between workplace happiness and citizenship behavior, suggesting that a supportive learning culture can amplify the positive effects of workplace happiness on employees’ voluntary, proactive behaviors.
Originality/value
This research emphasizes the importance of developing learning-oriented organizational practices to leverage the benefits of employee happiness, ultimately contributing to enhanced citizenship behavior and organizational effectiveness.
