About the Editors
Besnik A. Krasniqi is a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar. He holds an MA and PhD in Economics from Staffordshire University (UK). He teaches Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, and Research Methods at the University of Prishtina in graduate and postgraduate studies. His professional career spans teaching and research in entrepreneurship at Maastricht School of Management (the Netherlands), Indiana University (USA), University of Michigan (USA), Staffordshire University (UK), State University of Tetovo (Macedonia), and Riinvest Institute for Development Research (Kosovo). He has authored several books, numerous research reports, and consultancy assignments. His research work in the area of entrepreneurship, firm growth, institutions, SME finance, informal economy, and transition and emerging economies appeared in international journals such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Small Business Economics, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, and Economic Systems. He is a Member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts, Republic of Kosovo.
Sascha Kraus is a Full Professor of Management at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a Doctorate in Social and Economic Sciences from Klagenfurt University, Austria, a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management from Helsinki University of Technology, and a Habilitation (Venia Docendi) from Lappeenranta University of Technology, both in Finland. Before, he held Full Professor positions at Utrecht University, The Netherlands, the University of Liechtenstein, École Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur Paris, France, and Durham University, United Kingdom, as well as Visiting Professor positions at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, and at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. In 2022, Clarivate has ranked him among the world’s 100 most impactful researchers in Economics and Business by the Web of Science Highly Cited Researchers Reports.
Veland Ramadani is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Business at the Faculty of Business and Economics, South-East European University, North Macedonia. His primary areas of research focus on entrepreneurship, family businesses, innovation, and sustainability. He has extensive work to his name, having authored or co-authored over 140 research articles, 80 book chapters, 12 textbooks, and 28 edited books. He has published in Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Review of Managerial Science, Technology in Society, and International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, among others. He has received the Award for Excellence 2016 – Outstanding Paper by Emerald Group Publishing. In 2017, he was appointed as a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Development Bank of North Macedonia, where for 10 months, he served as an acting Chief Operating Officer as well. He was ranked, four times in a row, among the World’s Top 2% of the most influential researchers prepared by Elsevier BV and Stanford University, USA. He has remained actively engaged in various projects, including those funded by the European Union and universities in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, he has offered consultancy services to private companies.
Paul Jones is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the School of Management, Swansea University, UK. He undertakes research into entrepreneurial behaviour and small business management. He is the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research, Senior Editor with Information Technology and People, and Associate Editor with the International Journal of Management Education.
About the Contributors
Haidar Abbas works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Technology & Applied Sciences, Nizwa (Sultanate of Oman). He holds approximately 10 years of experience in teaching and guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students in India and Oman. During this period, he played several co-academic roles such as Research Coordinator, Training and Placement Committee Coordinator, Business Administration Program Coordinator, etc. He has also participated in several conferences, symposiums, seminars, and faculty development programmes. He has to his credits around 20 research articles and book chapters published in Scopus Indexed Journals and Books. Before joining the academia, he earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (India). In addition to this, he also qualified University Grants Commission’s National Level Eligibility Test for Lecturership with a Junior Research Fellowship (UGC-NET-JRF). He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, United Kingdom (India Chapter).
Joy E. Akahome is a Senior Lecturer at the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria and a Contract staff of the University of Economics and Human Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. She has an extensive expertise in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. She is a Member of the American Marketing Association, Chicago, USA. Her research focusses on entrepreneurship and marketing. She has previously achieved a Coimbra Group Scholarship at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland. Her eagerness for future endeavours envisions goals or projects to advance entrepreneurial knowledge.
Hafiz Wasim Akram is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, College of Commerce and Business Administration, Dhofar University, Salalah, Oman. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) from the Magadh University, Bodh Gaya; a master’s in International Business (MIB); and PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, India. He has been a Recipient of a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from the University Grants Commission, Government of India. His dedication to teaching excellence is underscored by his certifications as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) from the United Kingdom. His research contributions have made a significant impact, with his work being published on esteemed platforms such as Sustainability, Inderscience, Wiley, and Springer. These publications have solidified his global reputation as a Respected Researcher in the academic community. His particular areas of research interest are logistics and supply chain management, entrepreneurship, and international business.
Hind Hourmat Allah is a Researcher-Professor at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech. She holds a prominent role as a Member of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Research and Studies in Management of Organizations and Business Law (LIRE-MD) and is responsible for leading the research axis ‘Strategy’ within the same laboratory. With a dedicated focus on African and Arab economies, her research endeavours encompass diverse areas, including the internationalisation of businesses, the economics of the fishing sector, institutional economics, and family entrepreneurship. Her expertise contributes to the broader discourse on how family firms adapt and thrive in a globalised economy.
Pyali Chatterjee is the Head of the Department at the Faculty of Law, ICFAI University, Raipur, Chattisgarh, India. She completed her Post Doc. fellowship in ‘New Technologies and Law’ from MICHR – Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria – Italy, in 2022. Recently, she has been selected for The Central Asian Legal Research (CALR) Fellowship at Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL), Uzbekistan, from April 2023 to January 2024. Her area of expertise includes criminal law, women and law, human rights, and gender studies. ORCID: 0000-0002-3307-0465.
Md. Daoud Ciddikie is an Assistant Professor at Sharda University. He has around seven years of teaching experience and more than four years of industry experience. Since 2013, he has been associated with various academic institutions, such as the University of Delhi, the FORE School of Management, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jamia Hamdard, Al-Falah University, and IGNOU, in different capacities. Before joining Sharda University, he was associated with the India SME Forum as Assistant Vice President (Research) and as Academic Director of the Asian Centre for Economic and Entrepreneurship Development and Education. He has 20 research papers to his credit. He is a Member of academic bodies such as the Indian Commerce Association and the Indian Accounting Association. He has a passion for research and a love for teaching and has guided many students at the graduate and post-graduate levels toward success.
Léo-Paul Dana is a Professor at ICD Business School Paris and a Visiting Professor at LUT School of Business and Management, Lappeenranta University of Technology. He holds the title of Professor at Dalhousie University and is also associated with the Chaire ETI at Sorbonne Business School. A graduate of McGill University and HEC-Montreal, he has served as Marie Curie Fellow at Princeton University and Visiting Professor at INSEAD and at Kingston University. He has published extensively in a variety of journals including Entrepreneurship: Theory & Practice, International Business Review, International Small Business Journal, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of World Business, Small Business Economics, and Technological Forecasting & Social Change.
Shweta Dewangan is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Commerce at ICFAI University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India, with 16 years of experience in commerce and management. She has an impressive track record of publishing over 20 research papers in respected journals like UGC CARE, Scopus, Web of Science, and peer-reviewed publications. Additionally, she holds a utility patent published in a government journal. She has guided four PhD scholars in the field of commerce and actively engages in diverse research areas. Her book, published by IGI Global, is currently indexed in Scopus, highlighting her significant contributions to the academic community. ORCID: 0000-0002-6539-3357.
Ankit Dhiraj is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Hotel Management and Tourism, Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India. He has completed his regular three-year bachelor’s degree in business management from Magadh University Bodhgaya, a master’s in Tourism Management from Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu, and pursuing PhD in Tourism Management at the School of Hotel Management and Tourism, Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India. His areas of research interest are Buddhist tourism, wellness tourism, and sustainable practices. He has experience working with different universities in India as a business development associate. He has also participated in various national and international conferences, seminars, and research workshops. He has published more than 10 research papers in Scopus Indexed, UGC-approved, and peer-reviewed journals.
Indri Dyrmishi is an Esteemed Economist with bachelor’s and master’s degrees, specialising in Project Management. As a Senior Instructor at the American University of the Middle East, he leads the Entrepreneurship Club and represents AUM as Vice-Champion in the Babson Collaborative Association, fostering global educational networks. His background includes instructing in the Finance Department at the American College of the Middle East and managing the Transfer Technology Office at the University of Tirana. In 2014, he was a National Trainer for the EU-co-financed Pacinno project, highlighting his expertise in entrepreneurship, market analysis, and business studies.
Rim Gafsi is a Doctor in Management Sciences. She obtained her PhD in entrepreneurship from the University of Sousse, Tunisia. Her research areas are entrepreneurship, corporate strategy, family firm, business management, and innovation.
Anushka Lydia Issac is a distinguished professional with a rich academic and industry background, uniquely integrating Engineering and Business Management. Holding an Engineering [Hons.] degree and an MBA, she combines technical proficiency with strategic insight. Currently a Lecturer and Program Head for the Pearson Level 3 Foundational Program at Westford, she is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Business with Management, specializing in Flexible Work Arrangements. Anushka holds a ‘Fellow’ (FHEA) status from the Higher Education Academy, UK, is a Certified Management and Business Educator, awarded by the Chartered Association of Business Schools and is a Pearson Certified Lead IQA (Internal Quality Assurance), enabling her to provide a holistic and quality-driven learning experience. Her intellectual footprint extends to about 20 publications in Scopus indexed books and conference proceedings, including reputable publishers such as Springer and Emerald. Anushka is not just a passive contributor but an active participant in the academic discourse, having attended numerous conferences and presenting her research at esteemed forums.
Esra Gökçen Kaygisiz is an Associate Professor of the Department of Business at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, University of Giresun. She graduated from the Computer Teaching Programme at Fırat University. She completed a master’s programme at Bilgi University and finished Business Management Doctorate Programme at Selçuk University. During her master’s and doctorate education time, she studied as an instructor at the Computer Programming Programme, Gaziantep University. She has more than 50 international and national research and conference papers. Her research interests are knowledge and wisdom management, human resource management, entrepreneurship, and reputation management with a focus on IT and digital transformation. Sanjeev Kumar is an Accomplished Expert in Food and Beverage. He currently holds the position of Professor at the Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India. With over a decade of experience in the field of the food service industry, his research focusses on alcoholic beverages, event management and sustainable management practices, metaverse, and artificial intelligence. He has published more than 35 research papers and chapters in Scopus Indexed, UGC Approved, and peer-reviewed journals and books. He participated and acted as a Resource Person in various National and International conferences, seminars, research workshops, and industry talks, and his work has been widely cited.
Selma Kurtishi-Kastrati holds the position of Associate Professor at the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait, where she currently leads the HRM Department within the College of Business Administration. With two decades of academic experience, she has instructed diverse courses in Business and Management. She has authored and co-authored numerous scholarly publications in reputable journals, international conferences, and book chapters. Her research focus encompasses areas such as Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship.
Hamza Nidaazzi is PhD and Member of Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Research and Studies in Management of Organizations and Business Law (LIRE-MD) at Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech, specialising in family firms and corporation strategy. His doctoral thesis explored the dimensions of organisational conservatism in family firms and was awarded Summa Cum Laude. His research interests include strategic management and organisational culture, particularly within family firms. He has authored several publications in these areas, contributing to the academic understanding of family firm dynamics. In addition to his research, he is actively involved in academic circles, engaging in discussions and initiatives that support the development of management sciences.
Tuncay Odabaş is a PhD Student at the Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Business Administration, Giresun University. He completed his undergraduate education at Atatürk University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations between 2011 and 2015. He completed his master’s degree at Giresun University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Business Administration between 2017 and 2021, and continues his PhD programme at Giresun University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 2021. Her research interests include human resource management, reputation management, entrepreneurship, and family businesses. ORCID: 0000-0002-5650-3614.
Ida Skubis is an Assistant Professor at the Silesian University of Technology. She has a PhD degree and an MA degree in four languages: English, German, French, and Spanish. She has professional experience in academia and business – she worked in managerial positions for international companies and lived in various countries, such as Spain, Greece, France, and Austria. Currently, she is the CEO of the Housing Community. Her research interests include entrepreneurship; innovations; leadership; decision-making; AI; AI in Management; AI in Linguistics; Ethics of AI; human-centric approach; chatbots; robots: social robots, humanoid robots, sex robots; human–robot interaction; NLP; MT; IE; NER; cognitive technologies. She has participated in numerous international conferences in Poland and abroad and is involved in various AI projects. She is a Reviewer for international journals on the topics of AI. She received numerous scholarships and awards for her scientific research. ORCID: 0000-0002-2447-9832.
Dr. Marsela Thanasi-Boçe is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the American University of the Middle East (AUM), where she teaches various marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Holding a PhD in Marketing from the University of Tirana, her research spans digital marketing, customer relationship management, brand management, consumer behavior, retailing, corporate social responsibility, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Thanasi-Boçe is certified as a Digital Marketing Professional by the American Marketing Association and the Digital Marketing Institute. She also completed the Accelerator Mentorship Training Program at the University of California, Berkeley, in June 2023. Her professional affiliations include the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) and the Diana International Research Institute (DIRI). At AUM, she actively contributes to academic and research committees, enhancing academic standards and research quality.
